The combination and variety of hikes and sights from the Highlands to the Argyll coast were fabulous. The guide was terrific in all respects, driving, local knowledge, friendly, etc. Very comfortable accomodations. A wonderful first taste of Scotland.

The walking tour was excellent (we did the Perthshire, Argyll, and the Isles Walking Holiday)!! A truly great experience where we got to enjoy a wide variety of what Scotland has to offer, including, scenery, food, and hiking. Argyll Walking Holidays was top notch and very organized from start to finish, making our trip a true holiday! Our guide, Stewart, was absolutely wonderful and we felt lucky to have him as a guide! We highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic time walking on Islay and Jura. The B&B we stayed at was excellent - very beautiful and relaxing. The walking program exceeded our expectations. Lesley Bryce is a superior guide and is the reason our trip was so enjoyable. Her expansive knowledge and great personality are amazing and she was able to delight everyone in our group!

Vast openness, harmony of intact nature, silence to calm down – a week full of walking activities, Only a week, but a week with various weather situation. Enjoyable walking tours from the beginning until the end. It was certainly a dare for Alasdair to recognise all our different interests. We were a group who not could been more different. We were a sensational group with people of all ages but we all share one interest, walking in Scotland. I know I will come back

I have just enjoyed a back to back trip with Nigel Scrivens in Galloway and Argyll followed by the Shetlands. Both trips were wonderful with amazing scenery and wildlife. Nigel is a great guide who shares his wealth of knowledge of the environment including flora and fauna. He recognises all bird song and is able to locate where they are perched. I have seen so many birds that would have been missed had it not been for his expertise. Great food was on offer in a variety of venues chosen by Nigel, always a good end to the walking day. About Argyll organises a fantastic itinerary which is flexible due to weather conditions and I would not hesitate to recommend them to future clients. I look forward to rebooking in the near future? Well done

I have been on Argyll walking holidays twice (Exploring Mull and Shetland)and I would consider going with them again. I have been impressed by the professionalism and care both holidays have been organized and led. I have appreciated the variety of the walking programme and the quality of the B&Bs we stayed at. The places we have been taken to have been of a special beauty and hard to reach otherwise. We have also been lucky to have an unusual fine weather which made us feel that we have been blessed and enjoy the holiday even more.

I had a great time both on the walks and sampling the delicious food of the north. Well done to Alasdair for enabling us all to enjoy this wonderful area. A memorable holiday in the rain but a great time too.

Although we got a lot of rain and strong wind, I have enjoyed the experience of climbing the hills in such a bad condition. I am thankful to Alasdair for the helping hand to reach the top. Without him I would not have made it. The group was very nice and we spent a good time in the local pubs. In do apologize for my poor English. Many greetings, Henriëtte Hendrix.
