Information we may collect from you

Length of time data held

Customers – until requested otherwise except under our statutory obligations.
Newsletter requests – until requested otherwise except under our statutory obligations.
Enquirers – for up to 2 years unless requested otherwise.

Where we store your personal data

  • All information you provide to us digitally is stored on secure servers. Some will be stored on our password protected computers.
  • Personal information supplied on paper is stored in lockable office storage.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our sites; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, We will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Payment processing

We accept payments by cheque, cash, bank transfer, or card.

  • If you pay for anything by credit / debit card through our online Payment System, your payment is facilitated by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant payment gateway of Barclaycard. All payments are secure and encrypted.
  • Card payments processed manually in our office also go through our online Payment System, facilitated by Barclaycard. After processing the payment, all the card details will be destroyed.

Your rights

We operate an 'opt in' system for processing your personal data for marketing purposes. Customers will be deemed to have 'opted in' for the purposes of receiving intermittent information updates on available holidays and services. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by contacting us at any time at info@aboutargyll.uk.

Our sites may contain links to and from the websites of other service providers. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own data management policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these before you submit any personal data to these websites.

Access to information
